Attention Nick Pickering Scholarship applicants: There was an error on the document linked here from this spring to July 9 at 8:15am. If you printed and filled out the application prior to the correction, it is OK, the only error was interview times. Please use the one you printed.
Nick Pickering Scholarship Interview times will start on Thursday Aug 4 and go until Aug 5th in the mid-afternoon. Your application must be turned in before you interview.
Scholarship interview sign up sheets will be at the Alumni tent in front of the sheep barn at fair. We will start interviews on Friday but if you need another day (prior to Friday) or some flexibility, we will be happy to accomodate as long as you have your application turned in prior to the interview.

Nicholas John Pickering Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Nick's passion was FFA. He served as an officer of both his chapter and the Central Oregon District. Nick had a knack for inviting others to join the FFA and become involved in all that it has to offer. He made them feel welcome and want to be there. He was a true leader. He aspired to become an Oregon State FFA officer and go where ever the FFA and his drive took him in the organization. Nick was going places in the FFA.
To receive this scholarship, we are looking for Redmond FFA members who's projects and leadership skills embody what Nick was all about; Passion for the FFA and its members to go far in leadership.
This is a Scholarship that can be used for just about any FFA project. Open to all Redmond FFA members to be used during the next year. See link below. The application contains all rules and other information.

April 17, 2010, Nicholas John Pickering, JR. , the Redmond FFA Chapter President and Central Oregon FFA District Treasurer was killed in a tragic car accident. The Redmond FFA Alumni has set up a memorial scholarship fund in his honor.
